Wood Water Guard WWG

Architects are increasingly opting for wooden facia's instead of render because it is cheaper.

Wood turns silver / grey after one year exposed to Ultra violet light. This is due to oxidation, of the wood surface which makes it porous and allows water penetration. This combination of rainwater and temperature are the ideal conditions to grow spirillum black mould.

The wood then turns black and become unsightly... Just look in any shopping centre and you will see how ugly it becomes.

WWG contains a micro technology formula which binds the surface of the wood providing a hard wearing, invisible protective seal against water penetration.

The black mould in wood is caused by spirillum mould which is naturally found in rainwater hence the grey / blackening.

By preventing rain water penetration we remove this eventuality.

Stone Water Guard SWG-

Silicone and solvents are generally used in liquid and cream Stone waterproofers, neither of them are biodegradable. SWG does not contain either and is 95% biodegradable.

Silicone acts as a waterproofer by blocking the capillaries of stone, but this will also prevent water vapour movement through the structure. This causes water vapour to be trapped and cause condensation and mould growth. Whereas SWG naturally allows water vapour to be released.

The creams are very difficult to apply to uneven stone or brick surfaces. Whereas SWG, applied with a sprayer efficiently covers the whole surface evenly.
